Primary Information & Referral Agencies
These primary resource agencies for older adults provide information about local services and resources
available for seniors. All either provide or refer for advocacy and counseling, health screenings, emergency
help, wellness programs, meals, outreach, social activities and transport. If you don’t know where to begin
looking, start here with these primary information and referral agencies.
M–F, 9 A.M.–8 P.M.
The Eldercare Locator, a nationwide toll-free service, helps older adults and their caregivers find local
services. This service is available on-line so that consumers can easily link to the information and
referral services of their state and area agencies on aging. These I & R programs can help identify
appropriate services in the area where you or your family member resides.

STATUS OF HEADSTONES AND MARKERS
Responsible for providing federal benefits to veterans and dependents. Operates nationwide programs
for health care, financial assistance and burial benefits.
FIRSTGOV for Seniors
Comprehensive website helps users access all government sites that provide services for senior
citizens, such as the Administration on Aging, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and Railroad
Retirement Board. Operated by the Social Security Administration.

North Coast Seniors Connect
Web site designed exclusively for older adults and those that care for them in Cuyahoga County. It
is designed to increase information access to seniors and to promote computer use by and learning
opportunities for seniors in Greater Cleveland.
